As you all no doubt remember from my breathlessly spazzy post the other day, my husband and I had a car break-in while hiking, and my bag and wallet were stolen.

Hey, better than having your whole car stolen! I've had that happen before too... *rolls eyes*

I actually really liked the tote bag that was stolen, so I was quick to check into replacement options and luckily it's still being sold. And, um, I happened across a lot of other super cute and affordable tote bags too, haha! So I figured I'd share them with you.

These tote bags are PERFECT for traveling, because when you aren't using them they are so easy to roll up and tuck away in a suitcase. They also are perfect for carrying your normal "purse stuff," with additional room to spare for a sweater, sunscreen, a baseball cap, and whatever else you might need on hand for a day of sightseeing or summer fun.

However, keep in mind that most of these are smallish, lightweight bags. I wouldn't use them for grocery shopping, and it would be a pretty tight squeeze to put a beach towel in one... but for more compact, odds-and-ends, "on the go" toting, they're perfect.

They make great gifts too! That's actually how I originally got the cute newsprint bag below (the one that was stolen and I'm happy to be able to replace pretty easily)... it was a end-of-year "thank you" from a student and her family. Such a fun and thoughtful gift!

Best of all, a number of these bags are as cheap as $4.99! Gotta love that...

I love a great tote! I used to have a tote with a vintage print on the side. Loved it, in fact, I carried it as a purse for quite a few years. I carried it so much that it tore and now I can't carry it! I need a new one, this post is perfect. I love the one about the happiest time is now, and the newsprint and good things happen! Perfect! And of course I probably need the "Stress does not go with my outfit" as a reminder! LOL

So sorry your car was broken into. I hate that!

Super cute. I am a bag person, I have tons of them. I always seem to need a new one with a new look. It kinda drives my husband crazy, which I am totally ok with.

LOVE totes- funny through the years I have collected so many various totes, and they have always been so important to me! Now, I have so many other priorities and I have to start downsizing and parting with some and its been so hard - love them all! :) haha - love all the choices you offered here - lots of cool styles to choose from - thanks for sharing with us at #homemattersparty xx Bee

That is such a bummer about your car and wallet! I really like the round up of totes you pulled together. The totes with the animals are too cute - I'm torn between the elephant and hedgehog. Congrats on publishing your ebook - that's such an awesome feat!
