Hello Friday, and hello friends!!
Our theme at #FridayFrivolity this week is "summertime," and if you live in the Northern hemisphere, you're going to be well-aware of why! If you live in the Southern hemisphere, I guess this will just serve as a fun reminder of warmer days to come. ;P
You all know I'm a firm believer in sun protection... if you're in need of a stylish UPF travel dress I have the perfect one to recommend!
I'm happy to see this handsome youngster shares my priorities.
I "busted out laughing" at this one (Southern-ism that is TOTALLY appropriate at the moment). I have no idea what's going on in it, but that just seems to make it better.
It seems like there have been a lot of awful tragic freak accidents in the US lately (as well as tragic non-accidents, but that's another horrible thing altogether...) so I am PLEASED to announce that there is ONE THING you should not have to worry about this summer. At all.
And that is pool sharks.
Ending with this one to encourage you to close that computer and focus on your "real life" for a while, after you finish reading this post! (Not hypocritical at all, right? :P) Technology (*coughfacebookcough*) can EAT our time... so much so, that I'm currently doing a Two Week Focus and Productivity Challenge to make me more aware of living a "deep" life, centered on my priorities.... I'd love to have company if you'd like to join me!

This post, How to Make the Most of Your Days Off, is SO in synch with the light bulb moment I recently had about focus and productivity! A great quote from her post -- "being busy does not mean you are being productive." Love it! Hop over and learn three ways to make the most of your time off, and prepare yourself for a more enjoyable week.
Another of my fave bloggers is Jamie over at Medium Sized Family -- she has a great sense of humor, and always has wise and thoughtful posts about handling money and getting out of debt. Check out her post How to Get Out of Debt by Breaking Up Your Paycheck for some really helpful thoughts and strategies!
