Funny Pregnancy Memes - What NOT to Say to a Pregnant Woman!
Hello Friday, and hello friends!
Celebrating my fun news from last week (which none of y'all had ANY inkling of while I showed you my completely non-obvious holiday photos, right?) our #FridayFrivolity themes this month may have gone a little baby crazy... hopefully in a fun way! Our theme for today's party is "What NOT to say to a pregnant woman."
What NOT to say to a pregnant woman!
According to the interwebz, the #1 most important thing not to say to a pregnant woman is "are you pregnant?" But I think that is mostly because... what if the answer is no?? Emotional fallout for EVERYBODY involved, oops...
Ooooh, and this one would be awkward too!
And similarly...
No comments about baby being late either! OBVIOUSLY, Ms. Pregnant Woman is FAR more aware of the passage of time than you are!
(flashback to our Willy Wonka / Gene Wilder #FridayFrivolity a while back!)
And lastly, a very funny answer to a very innocent question... ;P
Basically, if you're in doubt of how your comment might come across, here's a safe thing to say instead:

ReplyDeleteIsn't it nutty the things people think it's okay to say sometimes? *shakes head ruefully*
DeleteThere is NEVER a good time to ask if a woman is pregnant - this is a truth I've learned and owned for a significant part of my adult life. Let them do the "big reveal" in their own time :)
ReplyDeleteYou're a wise woman Leanne! Completely agree with you!
DeleteHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I love a Meme and there's some bloody brilliant ones here. I especially like the Gene Wilder one! #fridayfrolics
ReplyDeleteHehehe thanks!! That was one of my favorites toooooo ;P
DeleteAhaha brilliant. I was always getting asked - "are you sure it isn't twins?" YES, NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!" #FridayFrolics
ReplyDelete*facepalm* as if you could be mixed up about something like that...

ReplyDeleteYayyyyy I'll be by Saturday, hehehe! ;)
DeleteOMG congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteThese memes are all so on point. I never ask a woman when she's due because nothing makes you look more like a dick than asking a woman who just had a big meal when she's having her bundle of joy. LMAO
Pinning some of these, because awesome! Also linking up! Yay!
Have a great weekend and eat anything you want. :)
Thanks so much!! :D You're a wise woman... I myself sported a burrito-baby-bump countless times before I ever had a real-baby-bump! Hahaha! So glad to have you at the party and looking forward to reading what you linked up!
DeleteI always hated the stuff people said to me when I was pregnant... yes, I was huge... but aren't you supposed to be? You can grow a baby and not get bigger.
ReplyDeleteYES, completely agree Haley! You're growing a human... A HUMAN! ;P
DeleteThe word is radiant! Bwahahaha!!
ReplyDeleteLoved them all!!
